Our future plans are to create holistic and sustainable change for a key part of Vauxhall, North Liverpool. We have created the ‘Vauxhall Road Development Framework’.
Our strategy for the future combines major physical change and investment in new housing with new and improved commercial, retail and leisure facilities.
The Eldonians approach to sustainable development is based upon:
Taking a holistic approach towards regeneration, providing housing, jobs and recreational/community facilities to encompass the needs of the community.
Developing an integrated sustainable community that feels secure and has a good quality of life.
Targeting the needs of young people, families and older people to keep the community together.
The development framework is in partnership with Eldonian Community Trust and Eldonian Community Based Housing Association. The following details the strategy for the development programme
Phase 1: Canalside Park – 40 apartments for social rent
Phase 2: Garden Centre Site – 89 two and three bed apartments and twelve 100sq m offices
Phase 3: Trinity School Site – a mixed use development comprising of family housing, community facilities including health facilities and office / employment uses
Phase 4: Canalside Park (Sports Centre Site) – development of approx. 60 residential units
Phase 5: Nursery Site – approx. 40 two bed apartments
In addition to the above phases, we are also working in partnership with a
private developer, Viride Holdings, to deliver a £60M housing and retail
development at the Vauxhall Road / Leeds Street junction.
